Learn another language

The best way to impress any employer, date, or random person: knowing another language. Women absolutely love when a guy knows more than one language. Here are some other reasons:
Planning on being a businessman? Learn Mandarin Chinese. With the expanding markets overseas, those who know this language will be in the hot seat for high end jobs.
Other notable business languages: Korean, Russian, Japanese, German, and Spanish.
Interested in working for the US Government? Look into Arabic, Pashto, Persian, Urdu, or any other Middle Eastern language. Russian might be a growing interest along with Hindi and Mandarin.
Engineering? Anything solar panel, I’d dive into the German, Chinese, or Japanese fields. Most of the business that companies like SBM Solar Inc and BioSolar work with are overseas. Germany is most known for their tax breaks on solar users.
Mechanical engineers should look into the German and Chinese languages. Advances by both countries make knowing those languages a plus.
Finally, knowing another language simply builds diversity. Go visit some place other than your neighboring state. Unless your neighbor is South Carolina, Jersey, or West Virginia. In that case you might just want to stay home. Probably lock your doors.
